MY LIFE SUCKS! Today started out so well. I was so motivated to get things done. Now I'm overwhelmed and parylzed, not knowing what to do next.

I had a full day

had to take grandma to the hospital tuesday to get a chest x-ray. That means i had to get the both of us dressed by about 10am in order to have us ready for our pick-up time with the transportation company. boy, i can't wait for us to get a van so that we won't have to depend on public transportation, but right now i'm really grateful for it.

Family Matters

There is an aunt that I have who tries to help clean-up when she comes by I am staying In my grandmother's house and her bedroom. Right now I have my printer against the door so that she won't have anything to gossip about. Sometimes i'm not very tidy because I am living between 3 places. My house which is 1.5 hours away, my mother's house which is practically next door and here. Here at my grandmother's house every thing is practically in boxes or on top of boxes. She's just itching to get in here. If there are dishes in the sink she always complains that she has to wash my dishes. We pay her to come here when i have to leave and go oto a doctor's appointment so hse might as well do something. thirty-five dollars fro sweeping the carpet (she won't use the vacuum), washing the dishes and folding a few towels. I just cringe when i hear her come through the door.

I’m so excited. Momiji Japanese Friendship Dolls are loaded with Tokyo cool!I think that I’ve finally found something that I can start collecting, Momiji Dolls!!! They are Hand painted 3 inch dolls. Turn them upside down and find a tiny card inside the base to write your own greeting.

I admire…Jessica Fletcher

Yes I’m talking about the nosey mystery writer from Cabot Cove Maine. I’m sure many of us have made light of how wherever she went someone ended up dead and she, not the police, would be the one to solve the case.

I love this show “Murder, She Wrote.” I watch the re-runs on the Hallmark Channel and I even check-out the DVDs from the library. Isn’t it funny though how this show differs from the crime dramas of today. The shows focus on the police dealing with murder on a daily basis, not an everyday citizen who is always on the scene or in close proximity of a murder. those of us who watched the show and those who created and wrote for the show never realized how silly this was. But I guess they were pretty good writers though for the show to captivate viewers and stay on the air as many seasons as it did.

The thing that has me baffled is how I admire her classic fashion sense 25 years later. She always dressed so smart and I often notice a classic Coach bag on her shoulder or in her hand…or the basket of her bike (she never learned to drive).

I’ve started to look in catalogs from places like The Vermont Country Store and think “would Jessica wear this?”

Tea Time

I’m an admirer of many different cultures. British, Indian, Jamaican, Japanese, and African to name a few. I enjoy the aesthetics and especially the cuisine.

I’ve started the tradition of “taking tea” which is practiced in a broad variety of cultures. A lot of these cultures are different in many ways but they are connected by the tradition of tea.

I admit when it comes to tea I am an amateur however, I enjoy the complex tastes that accompany black, green, red, white and herbal teas.

Some of the brands that I have had apart from the very mild Lipton and Tetley teas that are easily acquired here in the southern U.S. are: Twinings, Bigelow, Teavana, Kalahari Red, and PG Tips. Some of my favorite flavors are jasmine, earl grey and chai.

Last year instead of using milk in some of my teas, I started using coffee whitener/creamer. I’ve found that it gives the tea a richer taste without watering it down.

sorry i've been away for so long. i don't think i have any followers so no one will probably read this.i've been my grandmother's caretaker since May, and it is not an easy job...more to come on caretaking , cleaning and collecting momiji dolls. :)
